This page is just for Gas Deposits. (Water Deposits must be made on the water page.) Gas Deposit is $200.
Someone must be home when gas is turned on. We do not go any farther than the meter, you are responsible for having someone there to lite all pilots. Please read and sign the Gas Disclaimer Form below. This form is required as part of your application.
If you do not want gas service turned on, you can read and sign a waiver (see below - Gas Service Waiver). However all fees apply.

Do I have to be present to have gas service turned on?
Yes, someone must be there to lite all pilots. Jay Utility Authority only goes to the gas meter, we do not go inside the house.
I smell gas. What do I do?
If you happen to smell gas in your home and are unable to find the source, go to a neighbor's house and call Jay Utility Authority. Do not use the phone in or around your home; do not switch a light on or off, and do not light a match. Wait at your neighbors until the gas is turned off at the meter. Once the gas is turned off you will need to contact your landlord or a licensed plumber.
If it is after normal office house, call the police station at 918-253-4277. If it is life threatening, call 911.
